The SQUIRMY CHENILLE NANO is an innovative product developed in England and was born after in the world of fly fishing competitions the rubber was banned by the regulation, prohibiting in fact the use of the classic squirmy. From this need was born an extremely valid material that immediately found its place in the world of fly tying, proving to be a versatile and captivating product.
This synthetic material comes in the form of a cord of about 1.5mm thick, soft and slightly elastic, differing from the classic chenille certainly because of its movement in water. Being softer, it is much more attractive, and once wet, it takes on an almost "gelatinous" appearance, which makes it look like something alive and appetizing for fish, often generating very violent attacks.
Although SQUIRMY CHENILLE NANO is a fly tying material that comes from the world of lake fly fishing, it is also widely used in fly fishing in creeks. It can be wrapped around the hook or left to protrude, to take full advantage of its attractive movement. If you decide to let it protrude, we recommend you burn the ends slightly with a lighter to make it much more resistant.
